Back to i-healthbooker
i-healthbooker is a communication and collaboration tool. By its very nature it builds a community of individuals many of whom will not be known to you. The purpose of i-healthbooker is to create a network of healthcare professionals to enable information sharing, communication and collaboration. Part of this entails the optional building of a personal profile and blog site and ability to contribute to discussions, join groups and generally exchange information with any or all members of the entire community. The community will contain other healthcare professionals but will also contain other stakeholder groups such as healthcare providers and patients.
i-healthbooker is not intended as a social network for organising your personal life and we do not require you to enter any sensitive data such as address, date of birth, financial data, gender, photographs etc. Please be aware that if you do enter any sensitive data it may potentially be viewable by others depending upon the privacy settings applicable to the place you enter the data. We recommend you use other services such as Facebook, MySpace etc for personal social networking.
In general, even though privacy and security setting are available for you to control access to the information you enter, we recommend that you consider the default status of all data entered as public, meaning it could potentially be viewed by all members of the community. As this is a professional network it is expected that the content you enter will be considered and respectful of your colleagues and free of abuse of any kind. Tools exist on the system for other members to report any content they feel is inappropriate. If content has to be removed because it is offensive or inappropriate in anyway your account may be suspended.
